Solder Probe/Pick

Soldering probes are sharp, pointed implements which are used to help guide molten solder along a join while soldering.

The probe does not conduct heat well, which means that even though it is relatively short, it can be held close to the heat source without the handle getting too hot.

The soldering probe is made of soft carbon steel.
